This proposal was already posted last year, but perhaps because it's in English, not many people reacted.
I hereby appeal to my translator friends (Claudia, Carmen?!) to help disseminate this idea, as it seems worthy of discussion.

In England and WCFO (world-wide), there are only 3 categories. Could we not think about cutting down the number of judging categories from 8 to 4? We would not diminish our analysis this way but make it more efficient. Perhaps like this:

ARTISTIC

Choreography and Concept (max. 25 points):
Development and structure Ring use Variety and creativity Choice of music Realization of idea

Dynamics and teamwork
__expression__
Rhythmic variation,
Musical interpretation

Teamwork - Charisma of team, Dog’s motivation

TECHNICAL

Execution (max. 25 points):
Accuracy, constancy
Number of moves
Balance and variation of moves

Interaction and Signalling (max. 25 points)
Flow
Transitions and combinations of movements
Signalling
Interaction handler/dog

I think it would be easier for the teams, to understand the judging.

And for the judges too. some points in the actually judging are meaning the same, and with less categories the judges can work better.

my English is not the best, but I´ll try to answer, too.

Some years ago, I thought it would be easier, to have just 4 or less categories. But after working with 8 categories for a time, I like the possibilitie to distinguish. Dynamics for example is very different from teamwork....

I would not change the categories at the moment.
