Statement des Vorstands von Dogdance International e. V.

Dogdance als Hundesport ist weltweit populär geworden. Damit wächst die Zahl der Turniere und damit auch der Starter, nicht nur innerhalb des DDI e.V., sondern in allen Verbänden. Die Fun-Klassen werden als Trainings-, bzw. Motivationsmöglichkeit und auch als eigenständige Präsentationsplattform genutzt und in den offiziellen Klassen hat sich das Leistungsniveau von Mensch und Hund gesteigert.

Im Dogdance steht die Freude an der gemeinsamen Arbeit im Vordergrund. Viele, die an Turnieren starten, möchten sich zusätzlich auch mit anderen Teams messen. Nach den Grundsätzen des DDI e.V., die in der Präambel zu unserer Satzung und in der Satzung selbst verankert sind, darf jeder Mensch und jeder Hund an DDI e.V.- Turnieren teilnehmen. 

Auszug aus der Präambel unseres Vereins Dogdance International e. V.:

„Es gibt keine Beschränkungen für die Teilnahme an Fun- oder Offiziellen Turnieren, so dass JEDER Mensch und Hund mitmachen kann. Um auf Turnieren starten zu können, sollen weder die Staatsbürgerschaft, ein Abstammungsnachweis, eine Verbandszugehörigkeit, eine Vereinsmitgliedschaft oder abzulegende Vorprüfungen, noch irgendwelche Pflichtelemente vorgeschrieben sein.“

Dies ist in anderen Verbänden leider nicht die Regel. Eine Klasse für ältere Hunde oder Hunde mit Handicaps gibt es nahezu in keinem anderen Reglement. Dagegen werden Fun-Klassen erfreulicherweise immer häufiger angeboten. An der Open European Championship, kurz OEC, dürfen alle Hunde, also auch Hunde ohne Abstammungsnachweis starten. Eine Regel, die wir vom Dogdance International e. V. vollends unterstützen. Einige nationale Dachverbände folgen dem, denn die Leistung eines Hundes ist nicht abhängig von Ahnentafeln. 

Die FCI Weltmeisterschaft hat ihr eigenes Reglement. Dieses ist nicht DDI e.V.-konform, denn nach diesem Reglement sind Hunde ohne Abstammungsnachweis von der Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung ausgeschlossen. Wir, also der Verein Dogdance International e. V., der sich seit Jahren für diesen Sport ohne Beschränkungen einsetzt, unterstützen dies nicht. Auch Verbände, Vereine oder Dogdancer, die unter anderen Reglements als dem DDI e.V.- Reglement starten,  sind mit dieser Regelung nicht glücklich.

Der Dogdance International e. V. veranstaltet zukünftig keine offiziellen Qualifikationen zu Turnieren, die nach Reglements durchgeführt werden, welche unserer Satzung widersprechen. Das ist die einzige logische Konsequenz zum Passus der Rassezugehörigkeitspflicht in den Regeln zur FCI Weltmeisterschaft. Eine andere Handhabe würde bedeuten, dass der DDI e.V. entgegen seines Grundsatzes „Barrierefreiheit auf Dogdance- Turnieren“ handeln würde.

Wir haben jedoch Verständnis dafür, dass sich Dogdancer auch an einer FCI Weltmeisterschaft miteinander messen möchten. Der Dogdance International e. V. diskriminiert niemanden. Die Teilnahme an einer Veranstaltung, die nach einem anderen Reglement als dem Unseren durchgeführt wird, steht nach unseren Grundsätzen natürlich auch in Zukunft allen Dogdancern offen, auch wenn sie normalerweise unter DDI e.V.- Regeln starten und eventuell auch DDI e.V.-Mitglieder sind. Etwaige Start- Verbotsregelungen für Turniere anderer Verbände sind seitens des DDI e.V. indiskutabel! Wir bedauern sehr, dass andere Verbände solche Regelungen für ihre Mitglieder und Starter umgesetzt haben.

Wir wünschen daher allen Dogdancern, die an der FCI Weltmeisterschaft teilnehmen, viel Erfolg und, was noch viel wichtiger ist, ganz viel Spaß. Wir hoffen, dass die Barriere der Abstammungsnachweise für Hunde auch für die FCI Weltmeisterschaft eines Tages fällt und diese große Dogdance- Veranstaltung irgendwann weltweit für ALLE Teams, die sich über ihre Leistung qualifizieren, als Starter zugänglich ist.

Wir wünschen uns, dass die Sportart Dogdance von allen, auch und gerade von gehandicapten Menschen und Hunden überall ausgeübt werden kann.

Dafür steht unserer Verein Dogdance International e. V. ein! Dafür engagieren sich seine Mitglieder und in deren Auftrag der Vorstand!

Statement of the Board of Dogdance International e. V.

Dogdance as a dog sport has become popular worldwide. Thus, the number of tournaments and thus also the number of participants, grow, not only within the DDI e.V., but in all associations. The fun classes are used as an opportunity for training and motivation also used as an independent presentation platform. And in the official classes, the level of performance of humans and dogs has increased.

Dogdance focuses on the joy of working together. Additionally many participants want to compete with other teams in tournaments. According to our principles, which are anchored in the preamble to the statutes of the DDI e.V. and in the statutes itself, every person and every dog is allowed to participate in DDI tournaments.

Excerpt from the preamble of our association Dogdance International e. V.:

"There are no restrictions on participating in fun or official tournaments so EVERY person and dog can join. In order to be able to participate in tournaments, neither the citizenship, a pedigree proof, an association affiliation, an association membership or preliminary examinations, nor any obligatory elements should be required. "

This is unfortunately not not naturally in some other associations. In almost no other rules, there is a class for older dogs or dogs with handicaps. In contrast, fun classes are fortunately offered more and more often. At the Open European Championship, OEC for short, all dogs, including dogs without a pedigree certificate, can participate. This is a rule that we at Dogdance International e. V. fully support. Some national federations agree, because the performance of a dog is not dependent on pedigrees.

The FCI World Championship has its own rules. This is not DDI e.V. compliant. According to FCI rules, dogs without a pedigree certificate are excluded from participation. We, as the association Dogdance International e. V., who has been committed to this sport for years without restrictions, do not support this. Even associations, clubs or dogdancers who compete under other rules than the DDI rules are not happy with this regulation at all.

In the future, Dogdance International e. V. will not hold any official qualifications for tournaments that are conducted in accordance with regulations that contradict our statutes. This is the only logical consequence of the passage of the race membership obligation in the rules for the FCI World Championship. Another approach would mean that the DDI e.V. would act contrary to its principle of "accessibility on dogdance tournaments".

However, we understand that dogdancers also want to compete in a FCI World Championship. Dogdance International e. V. does not discriminate against anyone. Participation in an event, which is carried out according to a different regulation than ours, is, of course, according to our principles, free for all dogdancers, also in the future. This also applies, even if the teams normally start under DDI e.V. rules and may also be DDI e.V. members. Any prohibition regulations for competitions of other associations are out of the question by the DDI e.V. We deeply regret that other associations have implemented such regulations for their members and starters.

We wish all dogancers who participate in the FCI World Championship, good luck and – more importantly- much fun. We hope that one day the barrier of descent for dogs will be removed also in the FCI World Championship, so that this big  dogdance event will be free for EVERYBODY worldwide, who qualifies by his performance.

 

We hope that the sport Dogdance can be practiced by everyone, even and especially by handicapped people and dogs everywhere.
